How To Not Miss Out On Taking A Bite Of The Cherry
How many times have you been told to “grab the opportunity”? Probably more times than you can remember, right? We all get given these golden opportunities, but many of us simply ignore them, only to regret later in life that because we didn’t take it when it was handed to us on a plate, we probably lost out on having our life changed for the better.
It’s up to you as an individual to recognise these opportunities when they come along, grab them, and then use them in the best way possible. Following are a few ways to help you to see opportunities when they arise, or how to not miss out on taking a bite of the cherry, as it were.
Always be ready to grab that opportunity
Opportunities come along all the time, so keep yourself mentally prepared, and when any opportunity comes your way, grab it with both hands right away. Remember too, that even the smallest of opportunities has the potential to turn into something big at a later stage.
Choose between happiness and pain
Having an opportunity come your way is your chance to turn your life around. Many people make the choice of taking a bite of the cherry next time round, and when that next time doesn’t happen, spend the next week, month or year being angry with themselves and resenting the fact that they didn’t grab the opportunity immediately.
The trick is to understand that there will be difficulties attached to the opportunity either before it occurs, or even with it, but this should not make you decide to wait for the next opportunity to come along. This might be the only chance you’ll get, and even if there are problems involved, don’t you think you should at least give it a try?
Give yourself a chance
If an opportunity does ever come your way, don’t waste it! At least take a chance and give it a try so that you don’t spend a lot of time regretting your bad decision about not taking a bite of the cherry. This might be the only chance you’ll ever have to really get your life back on track again.
The bottom line is, be smart when that opportunity comes along and grab it with both hands! If you don’t, then you’re just like many other people who complain about their lives and blame others. Learn from the experiences you have along the way, and you’ll never have to kick yourself for not taking a bite of the cherry!
