LTV love: 5 Things We Love

LTV LOVES

It’s Friday and I have to say I’m really excited about the weekend. What are you doing? I hope it’s something interesting and fun!! So I’m doing ltv loves this week and here we go…

1. I’ll be dedicating my weekend to series three of House of Cards…are you watching it? Seriously, if you’ve not seen season one or two sign up to Netflix and get watching.

2. You can’t have a good tv binge session without something tasty to snack on. I’m going to be whipping up some of this gourmet popcorn from Joe & Sephs. A bag of Caramel, Macchiato and Bourbon purrr-lease.

3. Not to mention the need to be comfy. Now baring in mind that House of Cards is a political thriller you may as well feel a bit glam whilst watching. Loving this John Lewis Lulu Silk Chemise (£85). Time to turn the heating up high and get cosy.

4. Talking of comfy. A Kulan Cashmere Blanket. Produced in Inner Mongolia, this 100% cashmere blanket has unbeatable thermal properties and is sumptuously soft to the touch. With an elaborate cable-knit design and chunky hem finish, the Kulan is a warm beauty to look at and feel. Major love.

and finally, how cute is this bear motif wool jumper

LTV Speaks: Blue and Black or White and Gold?

Hello! Rachael here. Have you seen the whole blue/black or white/gold dress story? OF COURSE YOU HAVE.

So what do you think? I’m totally seeing blue and black and it’s causes a right rift in our household as my partner sees white and gold and he is convinced that I’ve got something wrong with me.

And it seems it’s not just my household that’s divided it’s the whole internet – even Kim Kardashian and Actress Mindy Kaling got in on the act.

But whilst everyone gets in to a spin over what colour they are seeing (it is definitely blue and black) my favourite outcome has of course been the grumpy cat meme.

Check it out below and then get on twitter and tweet me with what colour YOU’RE seeing…

World’s First Beauty Chocolate

Screen+Shot+2015-02-18+at+14_45_

Every now and again we have a press release pop in to our inbox which just makes us squeal with joy. So you can imagine our reaction when we had the email stating that the world’s first beauty chocolate is set to be released.

ESTHECHOC, the world’s first Beauty Chocolate, will be presented next month at the Global Food Innovation Summit in London.

It is based on 70% Cocoa dark chocolate and represents a combination of two of the most powerful antioxidants with pleotropic anti-ageing properties – cocoa flavanols and marine carotenoid astaxanthin.

The blend of proprietary technologies behind the laboratory and clinical development of this product empowers these bioactive molecules to such a level that one 7.5g piece of ESTHECHOC delivers flavanol activity equivalent to 100g of dark chocolate, and astaxanthin to the level of 300g of wild Alaskan salmon.

The superior efficacy of ESTHECHOC over existing leading dark chocolate and food supplement products has been demonstrated in extensive clinical trials.

After 3-4 weeks of daily intake by 50-60 year old volunteers, the Beauty Chocolate was able to not only suppress markers of sub-clinical inflammatory damage in their blood, but also reverse their age-related depression of microcirculation and blood supply to such peripheral tissues as subcutaneous fat and skin.

This consequently resulted in a significant boost of oxygen delivery to these tissues and restoration of their respiration – the essential physiological need in controlling and supporting skin health.

According to clinical studies, ingestion of a piece of ESTHECHOC does not result in postprandial lipid- or hyperglycaemia, hence it does not contribute to calorie concerns and should be safe for people with diabetes.

ESTHECHOC will be launched on the market next month and trust us, we’ll be the first to tell you when it does!

Discover your ‘dark side’ with Apothic Red Wine

Unknown

Everybody has a ‘dark side’ – the time has come to discover yours. Close your eyes and embrace your inner shadow with a glass of Apothic Red wine.

Cloaked in magic and mystery, this intriguing wine takes its name from Apotheca, the mysterious place where wine was blended and stored in 13th Century Europe. Rich and velvety smooth, its dark and dusky character will tempt those who prefer fruit-driven reds.

With flavours of dark cherry, vanilla and mocha, Apothic Red wine is a blend of four grapes – Zinfandel, Syrah, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.

The Zinfandel offers bold dark fruit flavours and spicy notes, which are complemented by the soft mouth-feel of Merlot. The Syrah adds layers of smooth blueberry, while the Cabernet Sauvignon delivers ripe fruit flavours and a firm structure. This decadent blend is a perfect accompaniment to  dark chocolate desserts.

Want to discover your subsconscious ‘dark side’?  For the first time this February, Apothic Red will be inviting Britain’s Twitter users to have their feeds psychoanalysed by leading psychotherapist Dr. Sandra Scott. A unique and bespoke algorithm has been created to help users discover and embrace their ‘dark side’. Learn more at  www.apothic.co.uk

Apothic Red is available from all major retailers, with an RRP of £9.99.

Marital Affair reports 110% increase as Fifty Shades of Grey Opens

fifty-shades-of-grey-book-live-out-your-50-shades-of-grey-fantasies-at-this-hotel

Adult dating website, MaritalAffair.co.uk, has today reported a massive 110% increase in membership interest following the build up of big screen release of Fifty Shades of Grey.

Interest in fantasy-based sex is growing and the Great British public are casting off the uptight sexual attitude they were once infamous for. Many Britons now treat sex as a hobby, and the prudish image they once had is quickly becoming a thing of the past.
The screen adaptation of E.L. James’ novel has caused a stir across the country and sexual curiosity levels are at an all-time high. This has been reflected in the amount of people signing up for online dating sites such as MaritalAffair.co.uk and the trend is expected to continue. UK attitudes are changing and sex is now seen as something to be celebrated and explored rather than criticised and hidden. Sexual embarrassment is dwindling too and people are becoming far more proactive in their search for carnal pleasures. What was once seen as taboo is now the norm.

“We’ve seen a steady increase in people joining MaritalAffair.co.uk up to the release of Fifty Shades and we expect a huge spike as the film gets publicised further nationwide”, a spokesperson for the site said. This is unsurprising as a recent survey into British sexual habits revealed that 14% of Britons have had casual sex with someone they met online. 49% of those questioned admitted to having had a one night stand and 43% said that they read erotica such as Fifty Shades at least occasionally.
“It was only a matter of time until the UK caught up with the rest of the world in relation to sex”,Paul Graham, CEO of MaritalAffair.co.uk said. “The global reputation of ‘no sex please’ is now a thing of the past. We are seeing more and more people enter into the world of fantasy and explorative sex that gets the heart thumping. People want more interesting sex – it’s that simple”.
